If your kids are anything like mine they love love love to draw and if you are on the move this can be a problem. Well I have been making these soo cute crayon rolls. They are made from gorgeous design house cottons and have a handy velcro closure that even little fingers can manage. Perfect for holidays and being on the go.

Allotments
Do any of you lucky people have an allotment? that elusive space to grow all sorts of yummy things, well I don't, I have wanted one for ages and have been on the waiting list for about 3 years and no luck, it seems that they just change hands between friends without ever being given up. I think it is the change of weather that has made me crave one again it just seems so natural to want to grow things when the sun comes out, everywhere you go you see seed packets and gardening supplies. Well maybe next year, for now I will have to content myself with my blackcurrant bushes, blueberry bushes and little apple tree all of which have been de-bugged cross fingers they produce the goods. Have a happy Sunday.

Bugs
Today we have been in the garden there is so much to do at this time of year I hardly know where to begin. But we have made a start the grass has had its first cut of the season, this always is exciting (how sad am I) its just a confirmation that spring is here. We have had such a long cold winter I am so loving the sunshine. The greenfly are also loving the warmer weather and are on some of my blackcurrant bush branches as well as my little apple tree. Last year this also happened and I got next to no fruit, so this year I am armed and ready with some organic bug killer and tonight when the wee ones are tucked up in bed I will be outside spraying.
I hope my garden produces flowers as lovely as these ones I have been using on my boutique bibs so warm and sunny.

Busy Busy Bee
I like to be busy I just don't know what to do with myself if I have nothing on. I can't quite remember that feeling actually (4 kids does that ). I have lots of running about jobs to do today as well as lots of picking up jobs, standing about jobs and after all those I will find time to sew some more of these. These lovely bibs are part of my new boutique collection they are backed with super absorbent bamboo terry cloth and have some really fun and vibrant designer prints on the front, can't wait. Hope you have a busy and productive day.

Sunny weather
Well here in Perth the sun has been out the last few days and what a difference it makes. I have been busy sewing my boys some sun hats. This fabric is gorgeous I love it and the hats give a great level of coverage. I want to make a quilt with this fabric and I have a couple of patterns in mind, I will keep you posted when I choose. But for now my garden is calling and I have sweet peas to plant.
