This Made Me Smile !!!!
Just when you are having not the best day in the world you get an email it made me smile and gave me a warm feeling all over. Here it is.
baby was only born six weeks ago so things are hectic! Just wanted to say how much I love your stuff, I first bought three bibs fromm you at the baby fair in Eden Court, Inverness last October. When baby arrived we realised how amazing your bibs were so we had to get more. Shop bought bibs just do not even compare to yours, I have lost count of how many times they have been washed and tumbled dried and they look exactly as when they were bought. I also bought a face cloth and cleansing pads from you last October and they are just as amazing.
Its good to give praise we don't do it often enough.
Happy thursday.

Bamboo Bibs New Options
Good morning remember I have lots to show this week well lets make a start. I have 3 new bamboo bib fabric options. In cherry red, aqua and cream. Each bib is a stand alone or can be combined with my other goodies. The thing that I love about these little monkeys is that they are great for little boys or little girls and solve the problem of "I don't know what the baby is going to be" dilema. As usual each bib is back with my luxury weight patented bamboo terry cloth. and has a handy snag free velcro closure for all parents who know how difficult it can be trying to tie a bib or do a snap when you are trying to hold a little wriggler ( I have 4) Hope you like them as much as I do.

So Much to Show You !!!!
Hello all I hope you had a wonderful long weekend. Saturday was miserable here with all the rain but Sunday and Monday more than made up for it. We had family visiting us on Sunday and on Monday I was through in Cupar taking my youngest daughter to a party. It's a bit of a drive from Perth but I didn't mind one bit. Everything looked so green and fresh, there were lots and lots of new lambs frolicing about in the fields and we were lucky enough to see some highland calfs. So cute they look like giant teddy bears all fluffy.
I have been beavering away at night getting my sewing done and have lots to show you. As I am sure you can guess sock Monkeys are going to feature strongly this year. Such a classic design and everyone loves them. So here is a formal introduction I have aqua, red and cream prints and over the week I will be showing you what I have been up to with them.
Happy Tuesday.

Hats are Go!!
Good morning all. Easter hols continue with much outside play its great that the weather is mild and we have seen the sun quite often. so I was asked by a friend to make her little boy a hat. We talked about style and she wanted one with a skip at the front something stylish and different . So I got onto it. Well you know what happened next. I have requests from my 4 as well as a friend of my friend wanting a couple made I'm pleased. I didn't get a pic of the original but here's one I made for my youngest, he loves that its reversible. Great for different outfits.
The hat has now been added to the ever growing list for my craft fairs this season.
Happy Saturday.

Lets talk Quilts
Good morning all. Quilts are on my mind at the moment they very rarely are off my mind. I have several designs in my head that I am pondering. I wanted to talk a little about why I love quilts so much.
Quilts for me are the ultimate handmade gift, Each quilt is special and unique and if made properly and looked after should last a lifetime and beyond. Quilts for me are a link with our past. Can you imagine sewing by candle light, piecing tiny scraps of cloth into the most intricate patterns?. A quilt could mean the difference between getting through winter or not. In todays modern world are quilts redundant? absolutely not if anything they keep me grounded knowing where I came from. I like to think that I carry on a tradition, yes with a modern twist on design but still retaining the essence of what makes a quilt. A quilt should be made almost like a recipe one that you can add to and bring the changes to. Quality Ingredience are the starting point. I use 100% cotton top middle and bottom, I know poly batting in cheaper but I like an all natural feel and I think our skins do too. Next you have to combine and mix your colours and patterns into a good consistency. Do you want hot and spicey? delicate and calming? bold and punchy? the combinations are endless and only limited by your imagination. and lastly you have to quilt and bind it's almost like slow cooking to develop the flavour.
A quilt is the perfect comfort when you are sad, a favourite to snuggle in while watching TV, or to gift to a new baby. A quilt is the ultimate cuddle from the thousands of women who have spent many hours crafting and loving their creations.
A question that is often asked " what would you take from your house if it were on fire"? For me my children, photo's and my quilts. I don't think a home is complete without a quilt.
Happy Thursday.

Scone Game Fair, I'm Going !!!!
Good morning all. I received confirmation last night that my application for Scone Game fair has been successful. I am delighted, excited and a little nervous to have 2 massive shows back to back. (I am doing the Royal Highland Show the week before) So I am going to get me head down and get some sewing done. I have a few ideas about by stall display I have a very small booth and I want to make a big impression so presentation is really important. I am thinking creative use of every inch and maximum organisation. I am also going to have to be selective in what I take with me. I am looking for your input here please tell me what you think I would love to hear your ideas.

Shorts Please Please Please !!!!
Hello all, how are you? Saturday went well I met lots of interesting people and sold quite a few of my goodies I was happy. I arrived home feeling like an easy night but me wee laddie had other ideas. "Your craft fair over now" he said. Make me shorts now please, please, please. I tried to explain Mummy was feeling tired, but you know how it is. So I had a look in my stash found some denim and added some sock monkey in red and blue for the pockets and waist. I washed and cut out on Sunday morning and started sewing last night. Finished the hems and waist band this morning and what do you know the sun has come out. Perfect. He is pretty please with the result as am I .

Happy Friday evening.
Nearly There !
Good morning all. Quilting done, I stepped out of my comfort zone on this one and did straight line quilting. I wanted to maintain the simple modern feel and the angles of the squares. I think I will be doing more of this type of quilting I love how it turned out. Not easy I can tell you but the effect is worth the effort. Now all thats left is a few hours of hand stitching on the binding and then into the wash. Show you soon. Might not be tomorrow as I am in Newport on Tay at a craft fair.
Happy Friday.
Happy Friday.

Another Cat in the Hat quilt ?
Don't ask me why, I don't know the answer but this morning I woke up with this quilt in my head. So I have made a start. When it will be finished who knows but right now it is burning a hole in my head so I am going with it. Do you ever get an idea that you can't stop thinking about until its done? happens to me often. I have learned to accept my creative obsession.

Blown Away!!!!!
Good morning all how are we all today? I am bleary eyed and full of a cold. The reason for the cold is my youngest, it was his special Mother's day gift and he was generous to share it with us all. The bleary eye's is because of these.
I knew they were gorgeous, practical and a great gift but I have been blown away with your interest in them my little email has been full of enquiries and orders ( there were a couple of emails about some of my other handmade goodies) I wouldn't want the new kid on the block to get all the credit.
So I have been making and making and making over the weekend I just hope I will have enough to take to my little craft fair on Saturday.
You still have time if you are quick to order one for a special Easter gift just email me and I will get back to you.
So I will love you all and leave you I have to nip to the shops and have a tone of washing to get through as well as more sewing.
Happy Monday.
